He explains that leadership is not what one needs but what the people being led need. In this regard, it is expected that you put them first and dedicate your time to teach and lead them. The vision is also expected to be a step towards success. A person should refrain from worrying on how to get there, but motivate the people on where to go through innovations. Other elements like taking calculated risks, strategizing plans and allowing for ideas from outside can also be incorporated in the main plan. By engaging in the functions listed above, the leadership works towards making their staff feel appreciated.
Another key requirement in leadership is coaching. By engaging in this, the leaders put themselves in a position to help his subordinate develop and grow. This happens by teaching them how to improve in their work area, and attain their goals, as well as that of the company. Ensure the personality of the employees is always guaranteed praise them when they improve and avoid scolding or shouting at them in public it kills their self-confidence and morale.
When the leadership emphasizes on team-work, the organization can achieve harmony, apart from benefiting from improved interrelations between employees and the management. The improvement can positively influence morale levels and communication efficiency. Employee performance can be improved by strategically placing motivational ideas that are linked to appreciating their commitment to the company.

At this level, praise is kept at a minimal level. as much as this model of leadership is always used, it has some drawbacks that include reducing employee motivational levels. Then there is the democratic leadership style where the leader draws his employees on their skills and knowledge. After forming a team, he ensures its commitment results to attain the goals. This method is efficient when the direction to take is not known, and the leader needs the employees to give a helping hand through their wise ideas.
Leaders should be the pacesetter in the company; by this they set higher standards through their performance. Their work should be better and done fast; this makes it easier for the employees to follow their leader as he portrays a good example of what he wants. Though leaders are warned not to overuse this style as it kills morale, the employees see themselves as failures.
When it comes to forming groups at work, a leader should consider features including norms. At this point, the group members who are also employees are expected to carry themselves in a professional manner. These group members should be assigned roles, starting with the group leader; each should have a responsibility so all should participate. A communication structure should be set up to control the group meetings. A power structure is important as it shows authority within the members thus respect is achieved. All this makes the leader have an easier work during supervision and assigning duties.
